Enable Copy/Paste in vSphere Console

Basically if you open the Console of the virtual machine in vSphere client, the copy, cut, and the paste is not available. Here is a trick to enable this functionality.

You should stop your virtual machine before the configuration, because the running state is prevent you to set the tricky settings.

So when your machine is switched off, open the VM settings: right click on the VM, and click on Edit Settings.

Go to the Options tab, and click on Advanced General option.

Click on Configuration button, and on the new window click on Add Row button.

Add the following two names with false value.

isolation.tools.copy.disable

isolation.tools.paste.disable

CP_3

Press OK, and then close VM settings window.

Power on your machine, and test the new settings.
